This is a schematic for a Remote VPN. It is setup to securely connect remote users to the office network. This is usually used to work from home or on the road.

This is a schematic for a Site to Site VPN, it is used to securely connect multiple office locations onto one network. Primarily used for branch offices which are located in other city, states or even countries.
