7. Endpoint
Any device (computer, mobile phone, printer) that connects to a network.
8. Firewall
A network security system that monitors and controls incoming and outgoing traffic based on security rules.
9. IT Support
Services provided to help users and organizations maintain and troubleshoot IT systems and infrastructure.
10. Managed Services
Outsourced IT services provided by a third party (MSP) that proactively manage and maintain a company’s technology infrastructure.
11. MSP (Managed Service Provider)
A company that remotely manages a customer’s IT services and infrastructure.
12. Network
A collection of computers and devices connected to share resources and data.
13. Phishing
A cyberattack that attempts to trick users into revealing sensitive information (like passwords) via fake emails or websites.
14. RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management)
Tools used by MSPs to monitor client networks and systems remotely, perform maintenance, and deploy updates.
15. SaaS (Software as a Service)
Software that is accessed via the internet rather than installed locally, typically through a subscription model.
16. Server
A computer or system that provides resources, data, or services to other computers, called clients.
17. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
A security process that requires two forms of identification to access systems or data.
18. Uptime
The amount of time a system or service is operational and available, typically expressed as a percentage.
19. Virtualization
The creation of a virtual version of something, such as a server or operating system, to optimize resources.
20. VPN (Virtual Private Network)
A secure connection over the internet that encrypts data and hides user activity.
