This process required approximately 8 hours per payroll cycle, or more than 16 hours every month of administrative work. Beyond the time involved, it also introduced risk through manual formatting errors, missing employee or project records, and payroll delays when files required correction.

The Solution

BCT designed and implemented an automated integration between Deltek Ajera and UKG.

The new workflow automatically retrieves employee time data from Ajera, formats the data to match UKG’s payroll import structure, verifies employee and project records in UKG, and creates them automatically when they do not already exist. A payroll administrator then receives a simple review screen with a one-button approval. Upon approval, the data is automatically uploaded to UKG for payroll processing.

The system runs consistently and eliminates the need for manual exports, formatting, and reconciliation.
